Don't you love how the wording of everyday signs can be so ambiguous? And I know my mind loves leading me astray - like on this one. Sometimes I think the common sense in everyday life slips right by me, because I often first see the flip side to things - instead of what "normal" message the language is trying to convey to us. Sarah Palin

So I was browsing, as I do, through the New York Times. There was a story on how American morning TV shows were recently competing for hosts (http://nyti.ms/JgoF7y).  Turns out NBC was trying to lure Sarah Palin to be a guest co-host on its "Today" program for a short time.

Sarah Palin? Co-hosting? National television? Is that a good idea? I guess worse could happen. I mean she could've ended up in US federal politics, couldn't she. That said, let's all quietly reflect now, marvel at what might have been - and give a shit load of thanks...

Easter Buns

Cmantics says Happy Easter! Tomorrow's an Easter affair with family. You know how it is. There'll be lots of food, kids running 'round high on chocolate, people mingling over conversation - I might not have had time to post on Sunday. So here's the weekly cartoon a day early for you. We've got hot cross buns in Australia, just like the US. But we also call them Easter buns. Same thing. Thought you might like some fresh buns to sink your teeth into. Enjoy.
